Community Arts Day 2025

Mission Bay's newest community centre THE GREEN (ex Mission Bay Bowling Club) will host a full day of arts activities, performances, workshops and spectacle. Bring the whanau, get involved with some serious arts activities provided by local artists working and living in Ōrākei area. There's a full programme of events to plan your visit, or stay for the day and grab a bite at one of the onsite food trucks.

All performances & workshops are FREE for all.

Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

• Circus performances by Te Māwhaiwhai, Dust Palace Youth Performance Company

• Cultural dance performance by Ballet Folclórico Peru NZ 

• Sound Bath experience by Mary Mark

• Live music The Obfuscators (four piece original avant-garde music)

Free and open to all people (and animals!) of Ōrākei, the archive has been created to offer a way for locals to cement their place in the history of the area. Each participant receives a free digital copy of their portrait, and all of the portraits will be housed in the Local History Room at St Heliers Bay Library.
